Instead of my usual Thursdays, where The Boy would go to his toddler friend's house, and I would go and inspect some attic insulation, we took the day off. The morning started with a quick shower before The Boy woke up, then The Boy's breakfast, then Grandpa and Grandma came. They arrived from far away just yesterday, and today they came to pick up the moving truck and drive it back up to their storage unit. Dad and I took some things to DI, and on the way home we picked up some winter hats for The Boy and I for our weekly Thursdays walk. Every week friends and their boys and girls and The Boy and I take a walk around the neighborhood. It's getting quite cold, though, so we might be moving to the mall to go walking.
Anyhow, after our walk I contemplated the decision of going out and selling attic insulation, or taking the day off with The Boy. I decided to take the day off. So, we went to lunch with my amigo and her son, and did some other errands. Then for naps we went to her house and I helped her with some office work at home. When The Boy woke up from his nap, I was there to get him. I find so much joy in seeing him right after he wakes up. He always has a smile for me.
Every week there's a Volleyball night. We've just started the tournament, and we won our first game! It's single elimination, so once we lose, we're out of the tournament. My stake women's volleyball team is moving on! The co-ed team plays tonight. I hope we'll do just as well. After winning the game, a friend and I went to Cold Stone to celebrate, and used my free birthday coupon. Cream cheese ice cream with strawberries and graham crackers! Yum!!
